Memory
Makers is owned and operated by Norm Brozovich of Markle, Pennsylvania,
a small village near Lower Burrell Pa. We are now entering our twelveth
year in business and are proud to say we are still growing
through our marketing efforts and attention to detail. We currently
have over 150 white doves in stock and trained to return home
from various areas in Western Pennsylvania. We are maintaining
our stock at 250 "plus"doves to meet the demand for
our services. Our birds are very well cared for with 8 large sections
for each team to call home in a 50 by 16 foot spacious Flying Loft. We
also have a 20 by 24 foot Breeding Loft
built in July of 2005. It has a capacity of 75 breeding pairs and a large weaning pen.
We provide our birds with the best commercial
feed including vitamins and supplements, and most importantly
plenty of training so they will return home after their release.
In
2003 ,
Memory Makers had the honor of being chosen to close the service
for the first Western Pennsylvania soldier killed in action in
Iraq -Staff Sergeant Stevon Booker. We closed the service with
the songs "Proud to be an American" and " God Bless
America" while releasing one dove by hand and seventy more
doves in front of the Honor Guard. Most of the local media and
television stations covered the ceremony and took note of our
part in it.
We
were also proud to be featured in an unrelated USA Today article
by Gladys Edmunds.
